When we all look at what has been happening to our country, depending how political you might be, you have to know that something has gone awry.

First, I put the blame on ourselves, as we the people are the ones who really should have control of our country. Most people do not realize or want to accept the responsibility that all the political class in this country work for us. Somehow, we let them just do what they want, thinking they will do the right thing. That is a very naive attitude on our part, considering that not only do we pay them a lot of money, they are making major decisions that effect all our lives. Are we just that pre-occupied with our own lives that we gave up on caring?

With this attitude, we have done exactly what our founding fathers were afraid of. A very out-of-control, large central government, with a political class that thinks they are somehow better than the citizens. If you owned a business and had employees making decisions that were killing your business, what would any business person do? Fire them! How about employees making money off your business? Fire them too! What do we think our political class is doing? Most of them go to Washington and leave with a much larger portfolio than when they got there. Why is that? We all turn a blind eye as all this corruption is going on. The time is now to step up and do something about it.

By letting our political class have a free rein, look at what they have done to its citizens. They love to pit people against people, using political correctness as an excuse. We as Americans, have gotten to the point where almost anything we might say or do can be looked at with some negative spin. Kids going to school with a American flag on their shirt, being sent home because of political correctness. Are you kidding!!! We Americans can’t be proud of being just that, Americans. Do we really want to teach our children that it might be offensive to want to wear an American flag? This is just a simple example of what our political class has done, but it goes to the very core of being a citizen of this great country. How have we let this happen? Love of country is now somehow offensive? Everywhere you look you see this kind of stupidity in our society. If you oppose anything, you might be called a whole host of things, like raciest, terrorist, etc. This has all been fabricated by the political class to keep us at odds with one another. Class warfare is the playbook to keep their power, and we have been letting them do it to all of us! The time is now to step up and do something about it.

The political class has done this for so many years that we citizens have gotten confused about many things. While all of this has been going on they have been running this country into the ground and everyone knows it. All you have to do is look at the corruption that is running wild. Doesn’t it strike you odd that out of all the bad decisions our political class has made, that none of them has to jail? Nobody goes after anybody. It’s like they are playing in a playground with no supervision, and doing whatever they want. Nobody cares unless the corruption becomes so obvious and even then it is like pulling teeth. They have every excuse in the book and then some for their bad behavior.

Now, we get into the political agenda that our servants have been promoting. It is in their interest to have as large a central government as they can, because it is so easy to create more power. Again, this is exactly what our founding fathers were afraid of

When they created this country, it was because of what they had seen with a political class or blood line where one citizen was better than another. Heard the line that we are all created equal? Our rights come from God and not a government of men and women who are no better than we are. To get that larger and more intrusive government, they need to make us more like Europe or countries like that. What we are talking about is some form of Socialism. I don’t know about you, but I like what our founding fathers created, since it is the only place on earth is like it. That should tell us something! There have been so many years that this has been going on it is not going to change overnight. We can not afford to just settle for small political movements one way or another. Right now we are being moved to the hard left. For years we have been drifting that way, but never to the degree we are now. We also have a willing press that doesn’t seem to mind. They themselves have gotten to be just as corrupt as our political class.

Our founding fathers thought it would be the press that would be the watchdog, not to allow our government to get out of control. If we the people were being told what was going on, then we could react and make the changes. But when a press is no longer reporting news but wanting to make news, that is a real problem. They are setting there own agenda as to what they think we should be told. Even worse, they will not report the truth if it does not coincide with their views. We as citizens have two strikes against us. A corrupt political class and press working hand in hand for their own agenda

I say that this next election in 2012 should be for the very heart and soul of this great country. If we the citizens think that being a Socialist society is the way to go, then so be it. Lets stop with playing the games and just get it out there. If on the other hand, if the citizens like the way our country was created, then lets find people who will take us back from where we are today.

All of us who vote are old enough to have that adult conversation. I think the final nominees running for President in 2012 should only be talking about what they see happening to our country, and be honest about it. Either way, we the citizens are smart enough to figure out which way we want to go. After all of this, you might be asking where is this going? I will tell you now. I think there is only one person I see that has the character to stand up for our American values, and not be afraid to reject the Socialist agenda loudly and clearly. That person also has to not be afraid of taking on any party, if need be, and try to put people in jail for any corruption they might be involved in. There is a reason that the political class and media don’t like this person.

Like most of us who care about what’s going on in the country, it is really hard because we know that the media will rarely give both sides of the story. They can make or break any person or situation depending on their agenda. When it comes to Sarah Palin, there is no doubt that most of what you hear has a negative spin. She is just a person, like you and I, and yet we never hear anything positive about her. The press has the ability to create a perception of anyone, and, if this perception is continued for long enough, the hope is that it will turn into a belief.

So, why? When did it become so bad for a woman to have strong American conservative values? Have you ever heard of her being corrupt? Have you heard that she does not know how to tell the truth? Have you ever heard anything bad about her, when it comes to just being a decent human being? I believe that the first instinct you must have about people, before you can trust or support them, is respect. Ask, what is it that she has done, that she does not deserve at least respect? She is a woman who has had many stories told about her, and yet she is still standing with all of her values intact. I think that qualifies for respect. I am not saying that this automatically entitles her to any position, but if someone has earned respect, doesn’t that at least open the door to be given a chance? So, now the question has to be asked, what is it about her? Is it that she has conservative values that are in line with most Americans? Is it that she really believes in what our country was built on, and stands for? Is it that she really loves our country? What is there to be so afraid of? Could it be nothing more than, “SHE’S GOT BALLS”? Americans have always liked a fighter and someone who does not quit. Have you seen her back down, even after all of what has come at her?

Let’s also put one issue to rest. The only character flaw the Press likes to talk about in regards to Sarah Palin, is that she resigned as Governor of Alaska. What they never talk about is why. In Alaska, the Governor is not protected by the state against lawsuits. The Governor has to pay for his or her own attorney’s fees. I would think that this would be an important part of the story. When you have a target on your back, like she did, the suits were coming from all directions. There was time needed away from her job to defend herself, and if she was not wealthy, what was she to do? Isn’t it interesting, that none of these frivolous lawsuit problems showed up until after she was picked to be the Vice Presidential running mate? She was one of the most popular Governors in the entire country. So again, when facing a tough problem, she could have just resigned and gone about her merry way, but what did she do? She stood tall and continued the fight. I don’t know about you, but someone who loves this country does not scare me. Having someone who is willing to lend her voice to try and defend our American values and what we stand for, is someone I respect. God knows, we need as much help as we can get, because we all know that something is not right.
